OEM & Contract Firearms Manufacturing
High-volume CNC machining of firearms components for OEMs, defense contractors, and private label manufacturers. Precision mil-spec parts from prototype to millions.
Firearms & Defense Manufacturing Machining
TXSwiss is a contract firearms component manufacturer producing precision-machined parts for firearms OEMs, defense contractors, and private label brands. We specialize in high-volume Swiss CNC production of bolt carrier groups (BCGs), upper and lower receiver components, fire control parts, buffer tubes, and barrel extensions. Our 24/7 production capabilities and ISO 9001:2015 quality systems deliver the consistency, traceability, and volume that firearms manufacturing programs demand.
Firearms manufacturing requires a machine shop that understands mil-spec tolerances, proper material selection, and the critical nature of every component. TXSwiss has deep experience machining Carpenter 158, 9310 steel, 8620 steel, and 7075-T6 aluminum for firearms applications. We produce parts that meet Technical Data Package (TDP) requirements with full material traceability, MPI-ready processes, and the production volume to support programs from prototype runs through millions of units.

Firearms & Defense Manufacturing Components
Materials We Machine for Firearms & Defense Manufacturing
Carpenter 158 Steel
Mil-spec bolt steel — the standard for M16/AR-15 bolts. Heat treated to 26-32 HRC, MPI tested
9310 Steel
Premium bolt and carrier steel with superior toughness and fatigue resistance over Carpenter 158
8620 Steel
Mil-spec bolt carrier steel — case-hardenable for wear resistance with a tough core
7075-T6 Aluminum
Mil-spec receiver aluminum for upper and lower receivers, buffer tubes, and charging handles
4150 CMV (Chrome Moly Vanadium)
Mil-spec barrel steel — chrome-lined or nitrided for extended service life
4140 Chrome Moly Steel
Standard barrel and gas block steel — heat-treatable for high-strength components
4340 & 300M Alloy Steel
Ultra-high-strength steels for critical structural and ordnance components
S7 Tool Steel
Premium trigger, hammer, and enhanced bolt steel — extreme impact resistance
17-4 PH Stainless Steel
Corrosion-resistant, precipitation-hardened steel for adjustable gas blocks and pins
Brass C260/C270
Cartridge brass for ammunition casings — high formability and corrosion resistance

Firearms & Defense Manufacturing FAQ
Do you handle ITAR-controlled firearm components?
TXSwiss operates an ITAR-aware machine shop registered with the U.S. State Department. We control access to controlled technical data per ITAR/EAR requirements. CAGE Code 81YN7 supports DoD and federal contracting.
What volumes can you support, prototype to production?
Runs from 100-piece prototype validation through 1,000,000-plus annual production programs. Bar-fed Swiss CNC equipment runs 24/7 lights-out for high-volume cycles, and our quality systems scale linearly without sacrificing tolerance.
Can you machine to a customer Technical Data Package (TDP)?
Yes. We routinely produce parts to mil-spec TDP requirements with full FAIR documentation, material traceability through the heat lot, and statistical process control on every release.
What materials do you stock or source for firearms work?
For firearms work we routinely procure Carpenter 158 and 9310 bolt steels, 8620 carrier steel, 7075-T6 aluminum, 4150 CMV barrel steel, 17-4 PH stainless, and S7 tool steel. Mill certifications ship with every order.
Do you coordinate finishing and heat treatment?
Yes — full coordination of heat treatment, MIL-A-8625 anodizing, MIL-DTL-13924 phosphate coating, Nitride/Melonite/QPQ surface treatments, and standard plating. Parts ship finished and inspected, ready for assembly or sale.
